The sturdy rust-proofed steel frame has a water-proofed roof which is covered with a brush wood finish and provides an alternative to the dangers of the compost heap, leaf pile or bonfire pile where they may be victim of a fork or a fire.
The Hogitat is primarily designed for shelter rather than hibernation, but if covered over with additional branches and brushwood in winter hibernation may occur.
